Petroleum
Processing and Petrochemicals
(in Chinese)(formerly known as Petroleum Refining)
started publication in October 1957 under the auspices of
Research Institute of Petroleum Processing SINOPEC. This
journal, a national comprehensive technical magazine specializing
in petroleum processing and petrochemicals, is publicly
issued both inside and outside China. This journal is mainly
targeted at information concerning new achievements of scientific
research and application of technical and engineering development
in the field of petroleum processing and petrochemical industry
of China, aimed at exchange of experience associated with
technical renovation, revamp and enhancement of economic
benefits of industrial enterprises, as well as briefing
on new technology and development trends all over the world.
All articles published in this journal should fulfil the
requirements for practicality and creativity, as well as
academic significance.
The publishing circles and petroleum processing and
petrochemical professionals attache great importance to
this journal as about 80% of papers published are recorded
in famous reference magazines in EI, CA and API Abstracts.
Since 1994 this journal is being included "Table of
One Thousand Periodicals" of CA.
The major topics of this journal are as follows: petroleum
processing processes, petroleum and chemical products, additives,
catalysts, technical economy, equipment and corrosion prevention,
energy conservation, computer application, basic research,
environmental protection, water treatment, analysis, testing,
etc. In addition there is collection of information of "latest
patents", "domestic brief news", "overseas
developments", etc., that can timely reflect the technical
trends both inside and outside China.
Petroleum Processing and Petrochemicals(in China) is
a monthly periodical, 16 mo in size with 72 pages, issued
on the twelfth day of every month. The journal is distributed
by "the Bureau of Periodical distribution of Beijing"
inside China.

and Technology Society and under the auspices of Chinese
Petroleum Society; edited by Research Institute of Petroleum
Processing; published by China Petrochemical Press; distributed
by the Bureau of Periodical distribution, Post Office of
Beijing and China International Book Trading Corporation
in and outside China respectively (CN 11-2129, ISSN 1001-8719).
This journal is issued quarterly mainly aimed at reporting
on refining and petrochemical processes; catalyst and catalysis;
reaction kinetics; fuels, petrochemicals and additives;
chemical engineering and systems engineering; and petroleum
analysis etc. The theses published on this journal were
abstracted by many important foreign and domestic abstracts
such as CA, EI Page One, Academic Periodical Abstracts of
China, China Petrochemical Abstracts and China Chemical
abstracts, and also being edited into China Academic Journal(laser
disk edition).

is the first published in China English petroleum processing
and petrochemical journal, which started publication in
1999 under the auspices of SINOPEC Research Institute of
Petroleum Processing. This journal is a comprehensive periodical
with main focus placed on domestic information while paying
attention concurrently to major trends around the world.
This journal mainly engages in popularizing Chinese policies
and guidelines in the area of petroleum processing and petrochemical
production, providing information on new technologies in
petroleum refining and petrochemical R&D, and briefing
on China's market for petroleum processing and petrochemical
technology, progress of construction projects, operation
of imported equipment and facilities, overseas application
of Chinese indigenous technology, and new developments in
the course of reform and opening up of Chinese petrochemical
enterprises. This journal aims at fostering technical co-operation
and exchange both inside and outside China.
